Descendents is always interested in adding talented, dedicated players to our roster.
The key things we expect from our guild mates are maturity, team spirit, the drive to succeed, promptness, attentiveness and the ability to play within our scheduled raid times.
Our scheduled raid times are
Tuesday 7-11pm PST,
Thursday 7-11pm PST, and
Sunday 6-11pm PST. These times were chosen to enable people on the West Coast with day jobs and active lives to participate. We raid fewer days per week than other EQ raiding guilds at our level, so regular attendance is absolutely vital to our success. If you cannot participate in all of our events in their entirety, Descendents will not be for you.
Please recognize that Descendents is highly selective, and we take the application and temp process very seriously. The quality and legibility of an application, responses to questions on the application and conduct during the temp period carry great weight. Our continuing goal is to experience and enjoy the end game of Everquest with people who will make it worthwhile. Our main raiding focus is conquering all of Underfoot.Minimum Requirements for joining are:These requirements are the absolute minimum for anyone considering joining. There may be more asked of you but these are the bare minimum to even be considered.

All Temps are required to attend 12 consecutive raids before being eligible to make full member.Which means, not being late, leaving, or missing Descendents raids. During the temp period ALL temps are not to leave the raid without an officers approval and must have a good reason for leaving.
Applicant/Temps should possess:- Good knowledge of zones, and the ability to travel to common raid destinations on all continents with a minimum of death and carnage.
- The ability to meet all our raid times in their entirety.
- A reliable, preferably high-speed internet connection.
- A functioning sound card and speakers.
We are looking for good players that can maintain our raiding times. Players who can meet the requirements and want to experience the end game without sacrificing their real life commitments are encouraged to apply.Member Standings Expectations- Full-Time- Attend at least 9 events per 12, up to 3 absences per typical month. Guaranteed spot on raids.
- Part-Time- Miss more than 3 events per 12, up to 9 absences per typical month. Loots after full-time members, no guaranteed spot on raids. The part-time membership status is not something we recruit people for; it is something granted only to longstanding members who have earned their place in the guild and for various reasons no longer play as much as the rest of us.
- Temp/Applicant - Minimum 12 consecutive events, loots after full-time and part-time members, guaranteed spot on raids with rare exceptions.
- Retired- No attendance requirements, no promises of loot, no guarantee of participation. Guild tag retained for purely social reasons. (100 raids has been the norm in the past for retention)
Players in Descendents are expected to focus on one character. If a member chooses to switch to another character and the guild leader approves it, that character must meet all current recruiting requirements and the switch will be considered permanent. We do not allow alternate characters on raids unless their presence is specifically requested by the raid leader.
Lotto's are presently done using a Gear Allocation System. Briefly, this system uses a Gear Factor that is obtained by dividing the amount of gear received by the number of raids attended. This number is normalized to compare the amount of gear a person has won compared to others in the guild. The goal of this system is to distribute gear evenly and fairly amongst our guild members.
Ultimately this is a guild for active, highly skilled players, and our recruiting decisions will be made with the intention of enhancing our ability to win the battles we choose to fight. If this sounds like fun, please fill out our
application. We look forward to hearing from you.
